February 2024 Update

Since the last update further progress has been made on the bunker. The accompanying illustration shows the progress to the point where it has now reached a point at which it will now be dismantled, sent for shot blasting and on return will be fully assembled and primed. On the completion of the bunker the assembly of the tanks and cab will follow

Moving on to the cylinders, the important news here is that since the patterns were delivered to the foundry at the beginning of the new year, the left hand cylinder has now been cast and will be followed shortly by the right hand one. The following 3 illustrations show firstly the mould being produced, then the casting after the sand has been knocked away and finally the fettled cylinder.
