Boiler Appeal Update

Following the successful Hengist Open Day held at Diamond Group Services (formerly CTL Seal), the Gowrie Locomotive Trust CIO are pleased to announce that we have officially placed the order for the construction of the new boiler for Gowrie with Diamond Group Services.
The announcement represents a significant milestone in the ongoing project to bring this historic locomotive back to life. To date, the Trust has successfully raised £52,000 towards the cost of the new boiler, approximately half of the total required funding. This achievement reflects strong public support and ongoing enthusiasm for the project, particularly following engagement at the Hengist Open Day.
However, further funding is still required to complete the project. The Trust is now appealing for continued support to raise the remaining balance needed to bring the boiler construction to completion.
